i managed to get off work tonight so i could stay here a bit longer and now i'm sitting here bored with nothing to do lol. typical...
hope u all had a good new year, i myself did not, i had to work so i drove up to kingston and back, got here about 10 and started calling round to see where everyone was but couldn't work out what was going on and would have had no way of getting back from brighton if i went on the offchance of finding people. so i stayed in. with my parents. joy. or perhaps not :/
hoping to make up for it tonight with rachel's birthday thing, everyone should come out it's gunna be cool and i'm leaving tomorrow so i wanna see u all before i go!
anyhoo.. i'm bored in case u couldn't tell so i decided to do another one of these annoying long ridiculously time-consuming questionaire things.. i did this one last year and, erm, i'm doing it again .
January - started in a complete mess, hours spent sitting on the beach thinking crying and wondering why i went to uni. tried to get the internet working in my room and failed. went back to kingston and instead of working spent 3 days getting stoned and having a lord of the rings marathon with joey in my flat. procrastinated lots, spent days in the library hanging out with rog and chris without doing work, then did it all on the morning it was due in. still got a 1st in the end, go me!
February - started uni again, went out lots starting with a great night at the peel followed by lots of snakebite at mine, started the epic projet that was painting my guitar, visited brighton and got sad at the lack of friends there, soulwax @ the concorde = amazing! had one of those crazy weekends where you don't sleep and feels like you're in another world - including the first cpwk gig @ fighting cocks, followed by napoleon dynamite and a league of gentlemen/big train/family guy marathon at mine and watching chris and emma get together FINALLY after all my persuading :) HIS DARK MATERIALS PLAY = most beautiful thing EVER :D, slimelight for frankies birthday, mass hair dying session then missing of trains and arriving at the club at about 2am lol! gj us!
March - went back to brighton, 80s matchbox/british sea power gig - matt passed out and we spent most of the night in the hospital missing the bands :( tried to get the internet working in my room and failed. went back to uni, decided i wanted to drop english and began the ridiculously long process of actually doing it. got really pissed off at the two-facedness of everyoone in kingston, saw the mars volta and was amazed (even though i've since got a bit bored of them :/) went to oxford with joey frankie and dave and saw queen adreena, had a great night adventuring round oxford and trying to get into the botanical gardens :)
April - got glastonbury tickets when they had been on sale only 15 minutes. that's gotta be a record! :D looked for a job but didn't find one, didn't go out due to lack of funds. spent a whole lot of time on my own when everyone was out and kept 'forgetting' to call me. finished my guitar, and it started to chip off straight away. everyone came to brighton for a cpwk show, was good fun. had to drive to edi's with all the equipment, got lost and ended up somewhere called braintree lol! signed the contract for our lovely new house from august..
May - played lots of frisbee on the clayhill field, went to stay beautiful with joey and hsi oxford chris, saw coheed with matt and his mate, did lots of uni work and met all my deadlines(!) bought a pink TV. drew the short straw for rooms in the house but didnt mind *too* much cuz at least it was fair...
June - best month of the year.. partied lots and went to lots of gigs, people started leaving kingston but that was just an excuse for more parties (still miss jesse though!) saw system/80s matchbox with rachel, partied some more, saw martin grech 3 times and et him and he's lovely :) emma's birthday weekend in birmingham - cadburys world and the academy - all good! GLASTONBURY was amazing as always... moved out of clayhill for good.
July - jobhunting in brighton, counting down the days til august 6th and the new house. tried to get the internet working in my room and failed. laura came from australia, i had no money so i didn't get to see her nearly as much as i would have liked. had a couple of good nights out though :) can't remember much else and lj doesnt help cuz i was avoiding it most of july due to much bullshit.
August - gave up jobhunting. got the internet working the day before i moved out. car broke down on the way to the new house, and ended up taking me about 6 hours to get there :/ spent most of the month sorting out my room (which isn't as small as i remembered it being) and looking for a job. didn't do much else due to no money. got a reading day ticket for £20 from laura, hardly saw any bands but had a great day anyway and stayed the night with uni ppl on the campsite :) daves friend mark was in kingston and we all partied. i crippled my foot by running into a bench.
September - tried to get the internet in our new house working and failed. looked for a job. missed adams leaving do :( mew @ the concorde were amazing. started uni again and liked it much better without the english bullshit bit.. got a job in blockbuster. there were lots of HUGE spiders in our house and as i'm the least terrified i had to catch them all :(
October - tried to get the internet in our house working and failed. as a result not sure what happened this month cuz no lj posts to go on! got my wallet stolen in bacchus even though it only had about £5 in it. still havent managed to replace all my cards and stuff. LAME. cycled everywhere but didn't lose any weight. none. LAME.
November - it started empty. i found out about all the bullshit going on behind my back and didn't feel anything. i thought about how it started a year ago and has just gone down and down.. and i didn't feel anything. the house was disgusting, i gave up trying to clean it. had my party for my birthday but hardly anyone came apart from joeys friends. it was still quite good. and mew the night before were amazing. tried to get the internet working in the house and failed again.
December - suddenly had loads of work for uni. managed to get it all done somehow. avoided going downstairs cuz it was so gross and none of it was my mess. tried to get the internet working and failed. had no contact with the world for a few days, everyone left before me and i spent 3 days cleaning. if they let it get like that again when they get back i will kill them all i swear. got to brighton christmas eve. lovely romans tradition as usual, disappointing christmas as usual, following week boring with nothing to do as usual.
new years resolutions...?
*try to make myself likeable to others.
*use aforementioned new likeable me to meet some new people.
*make a band with aforementioned new people.
*write some songs.
*try to be happy.
i think that's enough.
